To celebrate our 10th anniversary it has been suggested that members might like to make a 12 x 12 layout on the theme of TEN.

Members Layouts from the March Meeting
April Meeting : Journal Mini Book
Our theme for April was a Journal Mini Book and Jennie designed these small journal's from a single sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock for us to make.
Inside the books had pockets and places for tags and journalling.
Jennie also used the Stampin Up Envelope Board not to make envelopes but to create the fancy edging around some of the pockets.
It was a huge turn out of members (including new ones) on what was a glorious April Saturday!
We even had an overflow to our usual main table!
Next month Karen will be giving us a layout sketch to work from.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 28 May.

Once again apologies for the colours of the photographs! this was due to the orange glow in the hall due to the stormy weather outside!
March Meeting : Using Old Book Paper
The theme for our March meeting was to use old text paper and Julie designed this layout for us based on a double spread of old book paper pages.
The butterflies were sourced from the internet and printed on acetate.
It was a good turn out of members and everyone was looking resplendent in their new aprons!
Our next meeting is on 30th April when Jennie will be showing us how to make a(another) mini-book!
Apologies for the awful colour of the photographs - the hall seemed to be bathed in an orange glow all morning!

February meeting
The February meeting was a whole day meeting with the AGM in the morning and then time for members to work on their own layouts before a lovely lunch from the local Chinese takeaway. We were able to continue working on our layouts in the afternoon.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shetland Scrapbookers all members were presented with an apron with an embroidered logo on it - no-one wanted to get these lovely aprons dirty! We would like to thank local artist Forbes Hogg for designing the logo and John Kemp Ltd in Orkney for doing the embroidery.
As Julie and Margaret will both be leaving Shetland in the near future, members thought it would be nice to have a photo of the two of them wearing their aprons of course!
