It was a small (but select!) group who met for the March meeting where Julie shared a layout using a black and white photograph.
As usual Julie took us through the layout and particularly the technique for the inked panels which where stamped and then cut with a fancy border punch.
Do join us next month when Karen will be sharing a Mini Book with us.

Once again apologies for the colours of the photographs! this was due to the orange glow in the hall due to the stormy weather outside!
March Meeting : Using Old Book Paper
The theme for our March meeting was to use old text paper and Julie designed this layout for us based on a double spread of old book paper pages.
The butterflies were sourced from the internet and printed on acetate.
It was a good turn out of members and everyone was looking resplendent in their new aprons!
Our next meeting is on 30th April when Jennie will be showing us how to make a(another) mini-book!
Apologies for the awful colour of the photographs - the hall seemed to be bathed in an orange glow all morning!

A Layout Without Photographs
For our May meeting Jennie designed a layout without photographs. This had been requested by a member of the group last year as a possible theme and was based on the idea that this would make a good page to start an album or as an opposing page for one which had a lot of photographs in it.
There are plenty of places on the layout for journalling cards - inside the embossed vellum envelope, in the pocket above the envelope and under large vertical band.
Jennie showed how to make envelopes very easily with the Stampin Up Envelope Board and some members got quite hooked on making little ones for layouts!
We were few in number as quite a number of members were away, but there was plenty of room to spread out!
And Jessie made these wonderful home bakes!
The next meeting is on Saturday 27 June when Julie will be leading a Masculine Layout with Sepia Photographs.

January and Time for the Cricut!
Julie and Jennie shared the January meeting and again took out the Cricut and came up with ideas for using some of the Group's cartridges.
Julie made this lovely soft layout using multiple photographs on a plain cream background.
November Meeting - Getting Some Texture on the Page
It was Jennie's turn to take the lead at the November meeting and she introduced us to Texture Paste and Stencils. We created the background for this layout using a brick stencil and then painted and splattered Distress Inks over the top before collaging papers and die cuts with our photographs.
And we had cake!

Multiple Photographs for our September Meeting
Karen was the leader for our September meeting and the theme was a layout with multiple photographs. Well Karen certainly managed that with her layout for us!
Karen also showed us how to resize and print photographs in Word (we shall be doing this again at another meeting so don't worry if you missed it) and also how to print on acetate and add it to the layout.
Thank you Karen. Everyone really enjoyed this layout and appreciated the tips on printing photographs.
