April Meeting : Journal Mini Book

Our theme for April was a Journal Mini Book and Jennie designed these small journal's from a single sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock for us to make.

Inside the books had pockets and places for tags and journalling.

Jennie also used the Stampin Up Envelope Board not to make envelopes but to create the fancy edging around some of the pockets.

It was a huge turn out of members (including new ones) on what was a glorious April Saturday!

We even had an overflow to our usual main table!

Next month Karen will be giving us a layout sketch to work from.

Mini Books

Some members used the Cricut and the Bind It All at the January meeting to create mini books.

Sonia made a mini book to record a recent holiday to Australia.

Jo's book is about family history



January and Time for the Cricut!

Julie and Jennie shared the January meeting and again took out the Cricut and came up with ideas for using some of the Group's cartridges.

Julie made this lovely soft layout using multiple photographs on a plain cream background.

Jennie went for a family history book to keep notes and small photographs of family members.

April Meeting and the Meandering Minibook

At our April meeting Jennie took us step by step through the making of this meandering mini book.

We had a great turnout.

Lots of punches and dies to use!

And some gorgeous home bakes made by Elizabeth.

Our next meeting is on the 31 May and we will be creating a layout to a sketch chosen by Karen.

Mini Matchbooks : August Meeting

Today Karen showed us how to make these lovely mini matchbook style photo books.

We had a great turnout for this first meeting back after the summer holidays and there was much quiet concentration during the measuring and cutting out!  

We also enjoyed a lovely cake at coffee time made by Kay.
