November meeting

There was a good turn out for the last session of Shetland Scrapbookers of 2015 as there is no meeting in December.  Jennie showed members how to make this lovely wall hanging. Everyone enjoyed making these and most people got them finished during the session!

Scrapbooking at Nesting

October saw members of the group gathering at Nesting Hall for our yearly weekend meet up. We had a great time on Friday evening setting up and sorting our layouts and there was a lot of "oh I'll need to bring that tomorrow".  However, between at the Friday evening and whole day scrapping on Saturday we all got a number of layouts completed and had a lot of fun chatting and sharing ideas and techniques. And some lovely home bakes as well !

Plenty of room to spread out and all the Group's equipment available to use.

Members' layouts

Here are some of the layouts inspired by Sonia's demonstration last month.

Ann stamped her own backgrounds for these layouts

and then she made a simpler version!

September Meeting

At this month's meeting Karen showed members how to make a Flip, Flop, Flag book - this is a lovely, little book which can hold a lot of photos.  The book doesn't need any special binding as the pages are stuck onto folded card - a very clever design!

It was nice to see some younger members joining Shetland Scrapbookers this month.

The October session will be taken by Margaret who will be sharing a monochrome layout with members.

August Meeting

There was a good turn out for our first meeting after the summer break.  Sonia led this session and showed members how to make a mosaic scrapbook page using patterned paper.  The variety of pages produced by members was amazing showing how versatile this technique is - it is also a great way of using up scraps!

Members should note a change to the programme for next month - Karen will be taking the September session and demonstrating a layout using lots of photos.

More members' layouts

Sonia did this layout without photos
