November Meeting - Getting Some Texture on the Page

It was Jennie's turn to take the lead at the November meeting and she introduced us to Texture Paste and Stencils. We created the background for this layout using a brick stencil and then painted and splattered Distress Inks over the top before collaging papers and die cuts with our photographs.

And we had cake!

Multiple Photographs for our September Meeting

Karen was the leader for our September meeting and the theme was a layout with multiple photographs. Well Karen certainly managed that with her layout for us!

Karen also showed us how to resize and print photographs in Word (we shall be doing this again at another meeting so don't worry if you missed it) and also how to print on acetate and add it to the layout.

Thank you Karen. Everyone really enjoyed this layout and appreciated the tips on printing photographs.

Julie took the slot for the August meeting and by popular request showed us how to make embellishments using the Melting Pot.

June meeting

Using masks

Julie led our June meeting and provided lots of ideas for using masks in a scrapbook layout. Techniques included using tissue paper to make frames for photos and lots of ideas for creating lovely tags.

Our next meeting will be in August when the theme is A Masculine Layout.

May Meeting

For our May meeting Karen provided members with a sketch for a double page layout incorporating a number of photographs, but places for journalling as well.

This was Karen's example and she has incorporated six photographs and two newspaper reports.

May was a bit of a quiet month for Shetland Scrapbookers mainly because so much was going elsewhere. But at least there was plenty of room to spread out!
